Letter for Parents:
Dear Families:
At Rhymes & Reasons we promise to give you the best care possible. We will make a commitment to you to always put your child first. We take pride in offering a well balanced program for Early Childhood. Our staff is experienced and enthusiastic about working with children. All of our staff participates in various workshops to keep updated on all the new teaching methods. We work hands on with you to meet the needs of your child. Our philosophy is one that places a great deal of value on family partnerships.

All families with children enrolled here are invited to visit at any time throughout the day without securing prior approval from us. We welcome visits from our families.

As Director I assure you that each child enrolled here receives exceptional care. Each child is treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Children learn what they live.

I would be more than happy to set up a personalized tour of our facility at a time that is convenient for you. I encourage you to meet our staff and observe our classes. I can always be reached and welcome all requests to view our center.

Yours truly,

Miss Marisa

Director

Rhymes & Reasons Creative Curriculum

Rhymes & Reasons Preschool uses The Creative Curriculum as a foundation for learning. The Creative Curriculum balances both teacher-directed and child-initiated learning, with an emphasis on responding to children’s learning styles and building on their strengths and interests. The Creative Curriculum uses theme-based approaches to learning and is designed to capitalize on the natural learning experiences that occur in learning centers. Thematic units incorporate various subject areas into developmentally appropriate activities to help student growth in gross motor development, fine motor development, language and communication, and social and emotional development.

Creative Curriculum uses exploration and discovery as a way of learning and enables children to develop confidence, creativity, and lifelong critical thinking skills. It addresses all the important areas of learning, from social-emotional and math to technology and the arts, and incorporates them throughout every part of the day.

The Creative Curriculum model also places a high importance on authentic, ongoing assessment of children. The Creative Curriculum comprehensive assessment tools are based on the latest research, are proven valid and reliable, and are fully aligned with the Common Core State Standards and state early learning guidelines.

Family partnerships are an essential part of the success of Rhymes & Reasons. When teachers and families work together, children’s development and learning is fully supported. The Creative Curriculum platform offers a wealth of family-focused resources that are completely devoted to helping our teachers build connections between a child’s two most important worlds: school and home.
